Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala launched William Rast in November 2005 incorporating their Dixieland roots into every piece of clothing. William Rast allows the wearer to go confidently from casual to cosmopolitan. It is perfect for the man on the go or the starlet out on the town. It is fashion minus the pretense. The name “William Rast” is a combination of Justin’s and Trace’s grandfather’s names - a “William” from one and a “Rast” from the other. For two best friends that are as close as any two brothers, it was a perfectly logical way to name the business. Family, friendship, history, tradition. These are the qualities that combine to make the William Rast line so special. William Rast launched its first complete collection in Fall 2008 including spectacular outerwear and T’s that compliment all your denim. Johan and Marcella Lindeberg took the lead in designing the collection, with the influence of Justin and Trace, revolutionizing the brand and taking it to the next level.
